Story of a girl and her adventures in architecture
Currently reading about the Parthenon. Didn’t restorations are in progress, wish I could get my hands on that. But its fascinating about the craftsmen ship of this building. By using proportions of the human body, the Greeks were able to create millimeters worth of curves to achieve perfection in “entasis” (swelling of the center of a column). Amazing how we have crazy technology and we can’t recreate the methods the Greeks used with a chisel.
